Draft General Education Curriculum

Strategic Planning

After the campus-wide Middle States Self-Study process over the past couple of years was completed, the Committee on Institutional Planning & Effectiveness (CIPE) then provided action items and assigned responsibilities related to the five institutional priorities identified through that process to draft the 2020-2025 Wells College Strategic Plan. CIPE has worked with the campus community to further prioritize these items and Board of Trustees has endorsed this document at their February 2020 meeting. You will notice the plan references three phases to coincide with our goals to help Wells College survive, become sustainable and ultimately thrive.

As we all work together, these goals can be accomplished. Thank you for your active participation in helping us attain these goals.

HONOR AWARDS

Academic advising is a vitally important responsibility of the faculty at Wells College, and we are pleased to be able to publicly recognize the outstanding contributions of our faculty through the college's Excellence in Academic Advising Award.  The intention of this award is to recognize the fundamental importance of academic advising to the students of Wells College and to support faculty in their advising work.  A committee made up of faculty members, students, and alumnae, the Dean for Academic Advising and chaired by the Provost and Dean of the College, will select the recipient of the award.

Students are invited to nominate a faculty member for this award to be presented during the virtual Honors Awards Program on May 5th. To nominate a professor, follow the link below to complete the Google form. Nominations must be receive no later than April 15th

Excellence in teaching is most highly valued at Wells College, and we are pleased to be able to publicly recognize the outstanding contributions of our faculty through the award of the college's Excellence in Teaching medal, donated by Dr. Richard U. Light.  The intention of this award is to recognize the fundamental importance of the quality of teaching to the mission of Wells College and to support faculty in their pursuit of excellence in teaching.  A committee made up of faculty members, students, and alumnae, and chaired by the Provost and Dean of the College, selects the recipient of the award.
