The Wells College residence halls are your "home away from home," and are designed to be a community where you can learn, live, sleep, and be comfortable in. It is where you'll learn about yourself, others and the world we live in; it's where you'll have the opportunity to take on challenges, discover leadership opportunities, and learn to be an independent thinker.  You'll have the opportunity to interact with new people, explore new interests, and learn to solve problems.

Updated Fire Safety Policy

Due to recent fire marshal inspections, the Office of Residence Life has implemented a new Fire Safety Policy for the Wells College Residence Halls.  Take a look at the updated version here!  If you have any questions about our policies or how to decorate your space, please contact the Office of Residence Life.
 

November Break Memo

Classes end on Tuesday, November 20 at 9:50pm for November Break and resume on Monday, November 26 at 8:00am, 2018.  All Residence Halls will remain open during Thanksgiving Break at no additional cost to students. 

 

Although the Residence Halls will remain open during Thanksgiving Break the Office of Residence Life and the Office of Campus Safety need to be aware of who is staying on campus during the break.    

 

Registration: If you plan to remain on campus during all or any portion of the Thanksgiving Break, you must register online here .  If you plan to leave before Tuesday, or on Tuesday at any time, you do not need to register.  If you will be returning to campus Sunday only, you do not need to register.

 

All registrations are due by Friday, November 16, 2018 at 12:30pm.

 

If you are leaving campus during Thanksgiving Break, please remember to:

  1. Close your windows and draw your shades if in a first-floor room.
  2. Unplug all appliances including your alarm clocks. Your refrigerator may remain plugged in.
  3. Empty trash in your room.
  4. Remove/store all perishable food that roaches or other pests could get to.
  5. Turn off all lights and lock your door behind you.

 

Dining Hall

Please note that Dining Services will be closed for the duration of November Break.

 

The last meal served in the Dining Hall prior to November Break is dinner on Tuesday, November 20.  The first meal served in the Dining Hall after the November Break is dinner on Sunday, November 25, which begins at 5:00pm.

 

If you have questions about Dining during the break, please contact the Wells Dining staff at hallmarkdining@wells.edu or go directly to the Dining Hall for additional information.

 

 

 

Transportation

 

Please follow the link below to request transportation services.  When completing the form, please select the location, date and time from the list below,  that you would like to be picked up.  The locations, dates and times are limited to those listed below:

 

Departure Dates: Monday, November 19, 2018 - Wednesday, November 21, 2018

 

The following times are when the shuttle leaves Wells College for departures.

 

Ithaca Bus/Airport

 

7:30am, 11:30am & 4:30pm

 

 

Syracuse Bus/Airport

 

7:30am, 11:30am & 4:30pm

 

 

Rochester Airport

 

9:00am & 2:00pm

 

 

Arrival back from break date: Sunday, November 25, 2018

 

The following times are when the shuttle leaves Wells College for arrivals.

Please schedule your arrival to these locations as close to the departure time of the shuttle.  The shuttle will not be waiting at the airport/bus station for arrivals.  it will pick up students that are already at the location and then leave.

DEADLINE FOR REQUEST SUBMISSIONS IS Friday, November 16, 2018.

 

**Any Transportation request outside of the posted dates and times will be denied.  Failure to schedule transportation by the deadline, or showing up without a reservation will result in a fine and/or suspension of transportation services for the rest of the semester!**

Housing Accommodation Request Forms

These forms serve as a starting point for a conversation - fill them out as best as you can, and a staff member from Campus Life will reach out to follow up on your request. 

Step 1: Fill out the "Housing Accommodation Request Form"

Step 2: Supplement the above form with appropriate addition documentation (for medical accommodations), or supplemental form (for gender accommodations or housing exemptions) 

Any information disclosed on these forms is confidential. The Dean of Students (Jennifer Michael), Director of Campus Life (Meg Flaherty), and Assistant Director of Student Success (Megan Riedl), if appropriate, review accommodation requests.
