The Wells College residence halls are your "home away from home," and are designed to be a community where you can learn, live, sleep, and be comfortable in. It is where you'll learn about yourself, others and the world we live in; it's where you'll have the opportunity to take on challenges, discover leadership opportunities, and learn to be an independent thinker.  You'll have the opportunity to interact with new people, explore new interests, and learn to solve problems.

Updated Fire Safety Policy

Due to recent fire marshal inspections, the Office of Residence Life has implemented a new Fire Safety Policy for the Wells College Residence Halls.  Take a look at the updated version here!  If you have any questions about our policies or how to decorate your space, please contact the Office of Residence Life.
 

Spring Break Memo

Classes end on Friday, March 8, at 4:20pm for Spring break and resume on Monday, March 18 at 8:00am.  All Residence Halls will remain open during Spring break at no extra cost to students. 

 

Although the Residence Halls will remain open during Spring Break, the Office of Residence Life and the Office of Campus Safety need to be aware of who is staying on campus during the break.    

 

Registration: If you plan to remain on campus during all or any portion of the Spring break, you must register online at the following location: Spring Break Registration  

All registrations must be received by Wednesday, March 6, 2019 by 4:30pm.

If you are leaving campus during Spring break, please remember to:

  1. Close your windows and draw your shades if in a first-floor room.
  2. Unplug all electronics, including alarm clocks. Your refrigerator may remain plugged.
  3. Empty trash in your room.
  4. Remove/store all perishable food.
  5. Take all valuables and personal items you may need.
  6. Turn off all lights and lock your door behind you.

DINING SERVICES:

Please note there will be no dining services on-campus during Spring Break.

 

The last meal served in the Dining Hall prior to Spring Break will be dinner on Friday, March 8, 2019.  The first meal to be served in the Dining Hall following Spring Break will be dinner on Sunday, March, 17, 2019 

 

TRANSPORTATION:

If you are interested in shuttles during Spring Break, please read the following information very carefully.  Van drivers cannot make special accommodations the day of travel, so please make sure to sign up prior to your day of departure.  Additionally, students can be fined for any missed shuttles.  Please contact the Transportation Office if you have any questions or special needs.

All requests for Spring Break transportation must be received by 5:00 pm on Monday, March 4, 2019Any transportation requests after March 4 may not be accepted!

All the necessary information must be completed on the request forms in order for us to schedule a shuttle ride for you. Please make sure you review the importation travel tips to ensure your travel arrangements go smoothly.

March, 2019 - Spring Break Transportation

Please follow the link below to request transportation services.  When completing the form, please select the location, date and time from the list below, that you would like to be picked up.  The locations, dates and times are limited to those listed below:

 

Departure Dates: March 6, 7, 8, 2019

 

The following times are when the shuttle leaves Wells College for Departures.

 

Ithaca Bus/Airport, Syracuse Bus/Airport, Rochester Airport

 

7:30am, 11:30am, 4:30pm & 7:30pm

 

 

 

Return Date: March 17, 2019

 

Ithaca Bus/Airport, Syracuse Bus/Airport, Rochester Airport

 

7:30am, 11:30am, 4:30pm & 7:30pm

 

 

 

Please schedule your Departure/Return to these locations as close to the departure time of the shuttle.  The shuttle will not be waiting at the airport/bus station for arrivals.  it will pick up students that are already at the location and then leave.

 

Request Spring Break Transportation

 

DEADLINE FOR REQUEST SUBMISSIONS IS Monday, March 4, 2019.

 

**Any Transportation request outside of the posted dates and times will be denied.  Failure to schedule transportation by the deadline, or showing up without a reservation will result in a fine and/or suspension of transportation services for the rest of the semester!**

Our Bus Schedule: Leaving Wells on the 8th of March at 4:20 PM.Returning to Wells on the 17th of March at 6 pm.

These forms serve as a starting point for a conversation - fill them out as best as you can, and a staff member from Campus Life will reach out to follow up on your request. 

Step 1: Fill out the "Housing Accommodation Request Form"

Step 2: Supplement the above form with appropriate addition documentation (for medical accommodations), or supplemental form (for gender accommodations or housing exemptions) 

Any information disclosed on these forms is confidential. The Dean of Students , Director of Residence Life, and Assistant Director of Student Success, if appropriate, review accommodation requests.
